The PadPak CC offers a compact box cushioning solution when packing smaller items manually into shipping boxes at workstations. It converts 1- or 2-ply Kraft paper into flexible highly shock-absorbent pads for instant void fill, blocking-and-bracing and wraparound paper cushioning, providing excellent protective packaging in transit.
It can be handily positioned on the workstation or adjacent floor stand, and is easily operated by remote control, foot pedal or in EDS / automatic mode. The PadPak Compact Cushioning converter is a convenient protective paper packaging machine that produces reliable shock-absorbent box cushioning pads via a patented fold and stitch process.
It is an efficient, cost-effective and highly eco-friendly protective packaging solution for shipping or storing a wide variety of smaller items in boxes. The paper cushioning pads are narrower than others in the RanPak PadPak range but just as versatile and time-saving. Less Kraft paper is needed, saving costs on each package. The choice of 1-ply or 2-ply means that both light and heavy products can be packed, with protection provided directly around each item.
A smaller footprint enables the compact machine to be placed directly on the workstation or on a floor stand next to it. There are various operating modes to convert small rolls or packs of paper into the pads, with a feed rate of 60cm per second. The length of packing material can be controlled by using remote control, foot pedal or EDF mode which allows the converter to produce the next pad as soon as the previous pad is taken out, while the automatic mode creates a pre-set number of pads.
The machine weighs 50kg, measures 51x81x55cm and is loaded with 38cm wide Kraft paper which comes in rolls of 215m (50/50gsm) and 180m (50/70gsm), weighing 8.6kg and 8.2 kg respectively, and flat packs of 360m fan-folded (70gsm) weighing 9.6kg.
